Television Background
Before working as a media trainer, storyteller and public speaking coach, Rachel spent almost two decades producing television at the national level.
She produced for The Oprah Winfrey Show for nearly ten years, where she orchestrated complex productions for millions of viewers. During that time, she worked with a wide range of guests, from survivors sharing highly sensitive personal stories to public figures including Hillary Clinton, Julia Roberts, Vera Wang, and Ryan Seacrest. Her work covered topics spanning personal finance, health, psychology, crime, global events, fashion, food, music, pop culture, and current affairs.
Rachel then became one of the founding producers on Anderson, Anderson Cooper’s daytime show. There, she managed a range of high-profile shows, including an hour-long special on Gloria Vanderbilt for which she was nominated for an Emmy, an exclusive interview with Angelina Jolie, and features examining how women build successful businesses.
She went on to co-create and co-executive produce a primetime special for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.
Earlier in her career, Rachel served as a Senior Producer for American Justice and Biography on A&E, where she received an Alma Award nomination from the National Council of La Raza. She also secured competitive bookings, including Michael Jackson for Inside Edition, and began her career in local newsrooms at Fox in New York, NBC in Madison, Wisconsin, and Univision in Chicago.
